Story Writing #sadfanfic

“Yeah sure” Carrie replied and I heard her get up.
“Hey Treasure, I should have thought about it before inviting you” Tom said.
“Carrie invited me” I sniffed, lifting my head off of Tom’s chest and looking straight at him. “And it’s not just where I am. It’s everything, everything is just getting to me at the moment” I whispered.
“Me?” Tom asked.
“I’m sorry but yeah” I whispered as Carrie came out. “Thank you sweetie” I smiled, taking the drink from her as Tom took the tissues. “I’m going to go and help mum and dad with dinner” Carrie smiled before heading back inside. I turned to Tom and smiled softly. “Is anyone living there at the moment?” I asked.
“I believe so Tee, why?” Tom asked as he started dabbing my face with the tissues.
“Oh I just wanted to know if the bench was still in the back garden” I shrugged.
“I’ll ask mum later, she’s friends with the people who now live there” Tom smiled.
“Okay” I whispered, looking down at the ground.
“I miss them too, Treasure. I know I don’t as much as you, but they were both wonderful people with big hearts” Tom said as he took hold of my hand and squeezed it gently, just like he had done at the funeral. “Tom” I said, turning and looking straight at him.
“Yeah sweetie?” Tom smiled. I leant up and kissed him softly on the lips.
“I’m just going to go freshen up before dinner” I smiled after before getting up and heading inside.

I went downstairs from the bathroom 15 minutes later and I went straight into the kitchen and Debbie was the only one in there. “Hey Debs” I said as I sat down at the table in the spot I usually sat at whenever I ate round here. “Hey sweetheart, how are you doing?” Debbie asked, turning from the cooker to look at me. “I’m...I’m getting myself through everything” I replied, being honest.
“Your parents would both be so proud of the wonderful young lady that you have become, Tee” Debbie smiled. “Thank you” I blushed.
“Bob and I are both proud of you. We always have been. Both Tracy and Mike had been good friends of ours for ages and we always told each other that if something were to happen to the other couple, we would always help out with the children. We would always look out for them. You had grew up quickly after the accident and I wasn’t too surprised when you moved straight into London. All I wanted to do was wrap you in cotton wool and keep you locked in this house. I promised your parents that I would look after you and even though I haven’t, you are doing so so well” Debbie smiled. “You and Bob are like second parents to me, you were even before the accident. And it’s thanks to your son that I’m doing well, he’s helped me through an awful lot. And you have looked after me from afar” I smiled.
