“Must be” I muttered.
“You can say the same thing about woman though. You are all suckers for hot guys” Tom said.
“Then what is Sam doing with you?” I asked cheekily. Tom laughed.
“Good one girl and to be honest, I have no idea. I’m not going to get back with her Tee. But would you please come with me round to hers? Some of my stuff is there that I would like back and I think I should speak to her face to face, not just over the phone” Tom said.
“Why do you need me to come?” I asked.
“Moral support maybe. You are my bestest friend in the world Treasure Keats and I honestly would be lost without you. When I get married, I don’t want one of the guys to be my best men, I want you by my side” Tom smiled.
“Fine but there was no need to get soppy on me” I laughed.
“Want me to get you in a headlock? Bit more manly?” Tom asked.
“No because I am not a man, I am a lady” I smiled.
“If you say so Treesy. Come on then, let’s go end it with my kind-of-already-ex girlfriend” Tom said as he got to his feet. I downed the last of my drink before I got up and followed him out of the café.
We arrived outside Sam’s house a few minutes later. I knew where she lived off by heart and could probably drive there with my eyes closed. I near enough lived with Sam for the last 2 years of my teenage years. She was my best friend. Until she got with Tom, that is. I pulled up at the side of the road and turned the engine off. “Go on then but be quick, I really need to pee” I said.
“Aren’t you coming in with me? You can use the loo in there” Tom said.
“Wouldn’t it be a bit awkward if I come in with you?” I asked but I really did need to pee. “Fine I’ll come for the toilet” I muttered, getting out of the car. Tom got out the other side and walk over to me. “Thank you” He whispered before he planted a kiss on the top of my head. I locked the car before following Tom over to Sam’s front door. Tom knocked and she answered within seconds. “What?” She growled at me.
“I need to talk to you” Tom said, pushing past and walking into her house.
“Excuse me Tom but we aren’t together anymore and so you can’t just come in uninvited” Sam muttered, blocking me from coming into the house. “Let Treasure in, she just needs the loo. I need to talk to you about things. And I want my stuff back” Tom called out from another room. Sam leant over to my face. “Come in but don’t you fucking dare steal anything else from me. Got it?” She growled. “I just need the loo” I said.Word Count: 7,013
