Laura Reviews: The Fault In Our Stars

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

This book. Is amazing. So, so good!! I am obviously slightly biased, being a Nerdfighter and loving John Green and all that but I would never be biased about a book, just because of their author. If I didn't like the book, then people would know. But this book is brilliant.

The book is told from the view of Hazel. A typical teenage girl with a heart of gold and cancer. Yup, cancer. I can't remember at what age she got cancer, but she is currently 16 with cancer in her lungs. Her life is alright, she stays at home a lot with her mum who looks after her 24/7 due to having shortness of breath a lot. She loves to read and she goes to her local college and does classes, just not all the time. She also goes to 'Cancer Kid Support Group' due to her mum believing that she has depression. And one day at support group, she meets Augustus Waters.

Her life turns. For the good. She learns to live the life that she does have and pursue her dreams.

(I do realise at how awful I am at reviewing books)

The whole book is full of twists and turns. Amazing language and historic references. You don't have to know about these to understand the main point to the book.
I highly, highly, recommend this book. But only if you are prepared with tissues. That's all I am going to say

PS totally not bragging but I have my copy signed by John AND I have a Hanklerfish xD
