Happy Late Godiva Day!

I was actually going to blog about this yesterday but for some reason when I came to writing it I forgot so wrote about being grammatically correct.

But anyway, HAPPY LATE GODIVA DAY!!
What is Godiva Day, I hear you ask. Well let me inform you.

Godiva day is another day invented by Alex Day (Aka 'Nerimon' on YouTube) and, just like Forever Day, it was the day that his single went on sale. This time around, Alex's single is a song called Lady Godiva that was written by 'Peter and Gordon' but Alex has done a cover of it, releasing it as a single, trying to get to Number 1 next Sunday, which is also his birthday. Unlike Forever Yours which Alex wrote, Lady Godiva wasn't written by him and I am unsure how I feel about this. I prefer Alex's version, but that's because I am a sucker for Alex's voice and the fact you can tell where he smiled when singing. And yes, you can tell. But I still wish to support Alex and so I bought a copy of the CD and one of the remixes on iTunes. I also gifted one of the remixes to someone I know on Instagram as they couldn't get it. So that's my help towards him. For Forever Yours I bought all 12 remixes and gifted a few to people. I feel confident that Alex and the Nermiearmy can get far into the charts, I just do not wish to help any more due to my feelings on the song. Alex told the Nermiearmy not to buy his song if we don't like it. So I bought the versions that I adore. In one way or another I did.

I think Alex will keep doing well when/if he releases more singles but he really doesn't need to over-promote his singles in the way he does. If his YouTube subscribers like the song then they will buy it. Most of them, even if they don't like the song, they will buy it. It will get to where it belongs in it's own way. I have faith in Forever Yours. I really liked it and felt proud when it got to number 4. Wherever Lady Godiva gets, I will be happy, but not proud. I just don't enjoy it as much as Forever Yours. And the more times Alex releases singles, releasing 12 versions of it, I will feel stronger about this I think. It might just be that the song doesn't appeal to me that much, but it could just be that Alex did this 3 and a half months ago. I love Lady Godiva, don't get me wrong. It's a catchy song and all that. It's just...*shrugs*
